METAMORPHOSES
Transformations between the worlds that need to be experienced before true freedom.
CAMEL
LION
CHILD
Zarathustra- Nietzsche’s fiction protagonist- presents the will to power to human nature. He believes that peoples determine how they will live their life. Zarathustra was at the mountaintop contemplating the meaning of life. He wants to share the truths he’s discovered. He descends the mountain to the town named Motley Cow where there is an active street audience. He teaches them “Behold I teach you the overman. “ Man is something that needs to be overcome. Man is in a constant pursuit to achieve the overman. The camel/spirit – in a phase when one recognizes there is a world outside one’s self. That is, there is something greater than us. The camel is a metaphor for representing all things mankind is holding. We are in a constant and forever phase to achieve the overman.
Camel- What is heavy and weighing upon yourself? What burden are you holding? The camel is a metaphor. All that one has been bearing is something, someone told us to follow. Constraints that we need to address if we want to be set free if only, we can be so free to follow our light and never be depraved of that life beat. One person needs to truly and wholly delve within themselves to follow what drives them.
Lion- The lion is so powerful leading the desert. In Nietzsche’s writings there is the dragon archetype representing the opposite of the duality. In this case the lion will need to defend their rights and face the dragon. The name of the dragon is ‘Thou Shalt’, and will command us, Conversely he lion will declare an affirmative “I will.” In this world there are rules, procedures, an order how things should be.
Child- What can a child do that a lion cannot? The child may say yes, it can create a new world. The child is fresh, can offer a new start. They will create their own will and own world. The universe is your property. One is the master of their destiny and an oasis may be built wherever they’d like. It never stops with the camel nor the lion. These are the steps for us to be free and liberate ourselves and pave our own way. Follow what you care about the most always. Be true to the fundamental law of your own true self, the answer has been inside of you all along. The child is the freest being, the most enlightened one with their new beginning. A being with the purest will. The most perfect representation is children at play, always excited with the constant twinkle in their eye.
